Abstracts
The conference continues the tradition of group theoretic conferences
"Groups and Group Rings" I-XI and "Groups and Their Actions" 2007,2010
which held at Poland in 1993-2010.
The discussed topics will include:
--- special aspects of finite p-groups, including
combinatorial and Lie methods in this theory;
--- geometric and combinatorial methods in important
classes of infinite groups;
--- groups of automorphisms of trees, self similar groups;
--- linear groups;
--- varieties of groups;
--- unit groups of rings, with a special emphasis
on unit groups of group rings and related problems.
The lecture time is 50 minutes for the invited speakers
and 15 or 30 minutes for other participants.
Conference fee:
Conference fee is 950 Polish zlotys.
For participants of 6ECM: 850 Polish zlotys.
For PhD students: 750 Polish zlotys.
It can be payed after arrival by cash or credit card. It includes accomodation, meals, conference dinner.
100 euro = approx. 410 - 430 Polish zlotys (exchange rate may fluctuate).
Location:
Mathematical Research and Conference
Center in Bedlewo (MRCC).
MRCC is a branch of the Institute of Mathematics
of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
MRCC is located in the Bedlewo village
about 25 kilometers south of Poznan.
It takes half an hour by car to get from Bedlewo
either to the main railway station or airport at Poznan.
For its scientific activities MRCC uses the palace, hotel
and conference pavilions in a 9 hectare park.
The organizers plan to organize a special shuttle connection
Poznan - Bedlewo - Poznan for participants
on the arrival and departure days.
Deadlines:
May 30, 2012 --- for registration
June 15, 2012 --- for submitting abstracts (no more than 1 page in Latex)
Anybody, who wants to participate in the conference
is warmly invited.
Please inform us also whether you want to come with
accompanying persons. We'll try to arrange appropriate
accommodation for them, following your suggestions.
